Atherton, California, USA
This custom home was designed for a family to provide a bright, light space in which to live and entertain that echoes the East Coast colonial buildings of their native Massachusetts. We chose a Georgian exterior design with woodwork detail concepts taken from homes in southeastern England and Concord, MA, while creating a more modern interior that fitted the owner's lifestyle. The interior design work was augmented by our long-time collaborators at Eve Waldron Design.

Originally built around 1865, we completely renovated this double-fronted Victorian townhouse, fully modernising the interior and adding a dramatic glass tower and a cantilevered steel and maple staircase.
